Gurugram, October 12 (SocialNews.XYZ) An arts and culture festival was organized in Gurugram by ‘KalaGram Society’, jointly established by Gurugram Administration and Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), in collaboration with Haryana Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Trust and Hyundai India Motor Foundation.

The festival was opened on Wednesday by Nishant Kumar Yadav, deputy commissioner of Gurugram, along with other government dignitaries. The five-day festival will culminate on October 16, 2022.

In this five-day festival, besides handicrafts, a unique confluence of different kinds of cultural programs will be observed.

The KalaGram Society spokesperson said that this art festival is organized by the KalaGram Society, which works to promote art and culture in the district. Skilled artists from Haryana and many other states of India will participate in this art festival.

The five-day festival will have 25 exhibitor booths, in addition to an art exhibition based on the theme “Back to Roots” featuring works by upcoming artists. The festival will also offer workshops on pottery, graffiti painting, Madhubani painting, Gond painting, sustainable and recycled crafts, Kalighat painting, calligraphy, screen printing, block printing, etc., which is open to the public and students for a nominal fee.

Calling on the public, Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram, Nishant Kumar Yadav, said the cooperation of all Gurugram residents is expected to lift the spirits of artists in this unique confluence of artists and art lovers organized in Gurugram.

“As a culturally rich state, this state is home to many artists and artisans. The Kala-Utsav by KalaGram company will further stimulate this culture and make Gurugram a hub for all art lovers,” he said. he declares.

Visitors can also experience various cultural performances such as Artist Bhopa Bhopi from Churu Rajasthan, Haryanvi instrumental musicians, folk storytellers from Himachal and Haryana, music and drama, puppet shows, dance and Haryanvi folk instruments, Himachal folklores, Gurujal society Nukkad Natak and dance. performances.

A photography competition for aspiring photographers themed “The Crafts of India” will allow them to capture our rich heritage through their contemporary lens.

The festival is held at the amphitheater, located in Sector 29, Gurugram.
