Dubai will host the biggest pop culture festival in the Middle East, POPC Live !, a five-day event that will take place in March 2022.
PopC Live! is a pop culture festival, celebrating the creators of Esports, Comics, Music and YouTube content.
Notable events will include the Girlgamer Global Finals and Esports, such as the PUBG Mobile, League of Legends, and DOTA 2 tournaments, where top international teams compete to win millions of dollars in prizes.
There will also be panels, workshops, lectures and concerts focused on pop culture. It will include an artists’ alley, a movie club and celebrity meetups.
However, information regarding famous guests has been kept under wraps for the time being.
The Festival exhibitor section will feature major game publishers, comic book houses, toy companies, and film and television brands.
The main stage of the event will feature regional and international music programming, as well as interactive and engaging segments.

Nehal Badri, Director of Brand Dubai, explained why Dubai was chosen to exhibit the festival:
“The hosting of PopC Live! for the first time in the region in Dubai, not only reinforces the city’s status as a premier destination for digital content development, but also highlights its leadership role in creating exciting new opportunities for young people in the region.“
Badri then spoke about the prospect of Dubai as a major player in entertainment: “The partnership between Waverider and Galaxy Racer supports our efforts to foster talent, creativity and entrepreneurship. The event will also help strengthen Dubai’s positioning as a major global venue for sporting and entertainment events.“
PPop! C Live will have many local and international sponsors to fund this busy event.
One of them is WaveRider, an IP content creation and management company run by CEO Arafaat Ali Khan, co-founder of Middle East Film and Comic Con.
