Starting July 2, Vineyard Haven’s First Friday invites all ages to an evening of art, music, shopping, food and inspiration to celebrate Vineyard Haven from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Main Street and Owen. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Main Street transforms into a traveling arts and crafts market, showcasing the best of Martha’s Vineyard artisans and sidewalk sales from local stores, according to a press release. Local restaurants, both on and off Main Street, offer dining experiences and take-out while local musicians perform on the street.

Then from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Music on a Barge takes place at Owen Park. Dance and picnic while listening to tunes from local bands and musicians. Visitors can enjoy local food trucks and a bonfire by the Tisbury Fire Department. A “silent disco” after-party hosted by Pathways will take place from 9pm to 11pm.
