October 6, 7:30 p.m.-11 p.m. Reykjavík Calling Concert at Taste of Iceland Seattle 2022 (inspiredbyiceland.com). Iceland’s most exciting artists perform live at Reykjavik Calling. Enjoy a free concert at the KEXP Gathering Space with artists organized by Iceland Airwaves with Eydís, BSÍ, Árný Margrét and DJ Hermigervill. October 7, 5 p.m. Hæ/Hi: Designing Friendship (inspiredbyiceland.com). A selection of designers and design teams from the Friendship Cities of Seattle and Reykjavík exhibit works based on, you guessed it: friendship. How do you introduce yourself when you first meet? Are we reflecting our personality and culture from the start? How do we use our senses to familiarize and connect? What do we share and what are we curious to know? October 7, 8 p.m. Screening of the film Lamb and Q&A with the director | Taste of Iceland Seattle 2022 (inspiredbyiceland.com) A screening of the Icelandic folk horror film Lamb at the Majestic Bay Theaters (2044 NW Market Street, 98107). Ticket distribution begins 7 days before each event, and you must register (on the festival website) for a chance to receive a ticket in advance. October 8, 1 p.m. Fireside Chat with Alex Strohl: Through the Highlands of Iceland with 66°North (inspiredbyiceland.com). Alex Strohl, 66°North brand ambassador and adventure photographer, shares his experiences and stunning images taken in Iceland. The photo exhibition, “Through the Highlands of Iceland with 66° North”, held at the Nordic National Museum, will feature photos captured by Alex that tell the stories of his travels with Benjamin Hardman. Ólafsson Gin’s mixologist, Tóta, and brand ambassador Reyka know their stuff and will concoct tasty Icelandic-inspired cocktails. Even better, they’ll teach you how to make it too! DJ Hermigervill will greet guests with his signature style, synth music, and vegan tape loops (he’s the one saying that, not us!) that’s sure to get you rockin’. Sit back and listen to Icelandic tunes curated by the experts at Iceland Music while enjoying delicious drinks inspired by Iceland.
