Nigeria and the Art of Living Foundation are set to host the 2022 World Cultures Festival.

This was revealed by Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, during an event commemorating the International Day of Happiness 2022 at the Happiness Center in Lagos.

The Minister said that the 2022 World Festival of Cultures will mark the 40th anniversary of the Art of Living Foundation, which is a voluntary, humanitarian and educational non-governmental organization.

“The date and location of the event will be announced later,” he added. said Lai Mohammed.

The Minister observed that the Happiness Centre, which is the Foundation’s contribution to the welfare of Nigerians, offers several programs for stress relief and personal development based on breathing techniques, meditation and yoga.“I found this very impressive, as it reminds me of the popular saying, ‘A healthy mind is a healthy body’, which explains the the interconnection between physical exercise, mental balance and the ability to enjoy life”, he said.

The minister who hailed the establishment of the Happiness Centre, especially in an ever bustling city like Lagos, said the alternative health and holistic wellness venue offers a range of services including Lagosians in particular and Nigerians in general can enjoy in order to ensure an optimal life.

“I salute and congratulate the owners of this centre. Their decision to establish the center is an affirmation of their desire to help ensure the overall well-being of Nigerians through a holistic approach to health that brings harmony to body, mind and soul,” he said.

The Minister said he was delighted that 90% of clients at the Happiness Center are Nigerians seeking to harness the power of alternative medicine, herbal remedies, yoga, breathwork and meditation to achieve balance physical, emotional and mental of individuals.

Happiness Centre’s Managing Director Askay Kumar Jain said the Center is on a mission to bring smiles to people’s faces and build bridges between cultures.

In his virtual message, which was released on the occasion, Art of Living Founder Gurudev Ravi Shankar said the Foundation will promote mind relaxation and healthy eating to make Lagos and even Nigeria the happiest place on earth.

Also a board member of the Happiness Center, Professor Pat Utomi said so many socio-economic activities and lifestyle changes are breaking down the human system, hence the need to ensure happiness around style of life.

The International Day of Happiness is celebrated around the world on March 20. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly on June 28, 2012. The International Day of Happiness aims to make people around the world aware of the importance of happiness in their lives.
