Punjab Police filed a complaint against Brar under Articles 294 (punishment for obscene act in public place) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to cause breach of public order) of the IPC. Police have also recorded cases against co-singer Barbie Mann, Gurneet Dosanj and others who appeared in the clip.
In the clip, the singer can be seen saying he’s close to criminals the government is afraid of and that he keeps two guns with him. He goes on to proclaim what Ansari (gangster) is for Uttar Pradesh, he is for the city of Bathinda. The singer can clearly be seen pointing guns at policemen in a police station, asking them to release the criminals.
Another singer Barbie Mann – who was also booked in the same sections – can be seen glorifying gun culture and criminals.
Police are currently conducting raids to catch other singers in the video. It can be mentioned that previously the Punjab police also took action against Punjab singers who were promoting guns. Singer Sidhu Moosewala was also convicted and arrested for using an Ak47 gun in a music video that went viral on social media in May last year.
